The Way of Love: Practices
for a Jesus-Centered Life

Bishop Michael Curry, our Presiding Bishop, has invited all Episcopalians to join together in exploring the Way of Love, an outline of a Rule of Life which includes seven practices designed to help participants center themselves in Christ’s love so that they may be freed to live more loving, abundant lives, following the way of Jesus-The Way of Love.

The Sunday Forum at Grace Church will take up a study of each of the seven practices, beginning November 11 at 9:30 AM in the Parish Hall. Please come join us!

Doughn-It Feel Good to be at Grace

Please join us from 9:00 – 9:30 AM this Sunday, November 11, in the Parish Hall for coffee and doughnuts to welcome our newest friends to Grace. This informal gathering, held on the second Sunday of every other month, gives each of us an opportunity to share a conversation or two with friends familiar to us and those we have not yet met. Come spend some time with us!

Christian Meditation

A new space for shared contemplative prayer is being offered at Grace. Our meditation group will meet in the Parish Hall at 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 11. You are encouraged to bring your favorite cushion and blanket if you want. We will work together to create a space for ourselves that nurtures our shared meditation and reflection.

Angel Tree

Christmas is always an enchanting time of joy and eager anticipation for children. Sadly, circumstances may prevent some children from realizing the happiness that accompanies the season. We have a wonderful opportunity to fulfill the dreams of these children.

Through our annual Christmas Angel tree program, Grace Church, in partnership again this year with the Salvation Army, helps to fulfill the holiday hopes and dreams of some of these children. Christmas Angels will be available at the Christmas tree located in the connector corridor, beginning Sunday, November 11.

Each Angel will include a child’s name and the desired gift, either a toy or clothing. Gifts should be returned unwrapped, with the angel tag firmly attached, no later than Wednesday, November 29. The gifts can be left in the office during the week, or under the Christmas tree in the connector corridor. The generous Angel Tree participation by the congregation in past years has made Christmas wishes come true for so many children. We thank you for your continued participation as we welcome the holiday season spirit of giving.
