Summer Pick Up Choir

This Sunday, August 26, will be our last Summer Pick Up Choir! All are invited to join, no experience or previous choir participation necessary. Meet in the nave at 10:00 AM to rehearse a simple anthem and look at the hymns and service music. Regular parish choir rehearsals begin Wednesday, August 29. Contact Will Gotmer if interested in joining!

Foyers Deadline

This Sunday, August 26, is the deadline to sign up for a foyer group! Foyers consist of small groups of adults who meet in one another’s homes for a meal and fellowship over the course of approximately six months. Participation helps facilitate deeper relationships among Grace Church members. Newcomers are especially encouraged to sign up. Sign up online or at the information station.

Youth Parent Meeting

There will be a youth parent meeting in the parish hall on Sunday, August 26 immediately following the 10:45 AM service. We will be discussing pilgrimage and the youth program in general. This meeting is for all youth parents, even those whose youth are not going to Iona. Lunch provided!

SAGES: Taste of Gainesville

Join SAGES at A Taste of Gainesville on September 22 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Taste of Gainesville is one of the ‘MUST ATTEND’ annual events in Gainesville. Enjoy the specialties of many local restaurants and caterers in a relaxed outdoor dining experience, including local wine and craft beer selections. The event is located at the beautiful Lake Lanier Olympic Park on Clarks Bridge Road. Proceeds benefit the Lake Lanier Rowing Club youth program.

Tickets are $30 a person and Grace will sponsor a table of 10 through SAGES. The first ten folks to bring a check to the church office or drop in the offering plate on or before August 26 will have a reservation. Checks should be made out to Lake Lanier Rowing Club with “Taste of Gainesville” in the memo line. If you are interested in car pooling, meet at the church parking lot at 5:30 PM.

SAGES events are open to all parishioners age 60 to forever. Join us!

Tract Rack

As many of you know, our tract rack is located in the hallway leading from the Greeting Area to the Grace Center. It contains pamphlets on many subjects concerning prayer, spiritual growth, church history and more. New titles have been added recently. Please avail yourselves to any of them of interest to you.

Pilgrimage Shares Still Available

Pilgrimage “shares” are still available! This unique opportunity allows parishioners to help support the youth pilgrimage to Iona and Scotland next summer. Shareholders will receive personalized updates from the pilgrims before and during the trip and an invitation to a special dinner hosted by the pilgrims when they return.

You can now purchase pilgrimage shares online at! Choose check or credit card, select “Pilgrimage” from the contribution type drop down menu and write “shareholder” in the memo box. Paper checks, made payable to Grace Episcopal Church with “Pilgrimage Share” in the memo line, are also accepted. Each share is $200. The youth appreciate your support!
