Summer Book Swap

Have you been looking for a great Summer read? Our Summer Book Swap continues this Sunday, July 29. All are welcome to browse through the offerings in the parish hall and choose treasures to take home! Books left after July 29 will be donated to Our Neighbor’s The Next Chapter Bookstore.

SacrisTea Talk

I have been in awe of my Atlanta friends who have led and shared in the General Convention conversations. And, I have wondered how we could hold these vital dialogues at Grace and in the wider Diocese. So, we are launching a new live talk show! We’re going to talk about things that matter and laugh a lot as well, I imagine. We’ll share tea in the sacristy here at Grace and talk, hence, SacrisTea Talk.

We will also interview parish staff and leaders who invest so much of themselves in our common life. We’ll see if folks can call in as well. Or, if you want to share in this, come join us. We will be live on Facebook on Monday, July 30, at 10:00 AM, however we do plan to make a recording available through our blog and newsletter in the week.

School Supply Collection

The Outreach Committee has requested that school supply donations be returned to the church by Wednesday, August 1. You can leave them in the red wagon in the greeting area or bring them in to the parish office. All supplies will be taken to Flowery Branch Elementary School. Thank you for your continued support of this annual outreach project!

Children’s Formation Pool Party

All children (fifth grade and under) and their families are invited to gather for a pool party on Saturday, August 4 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. We’ll celebrate a great summer and look ahead to the beginning of another wonderful year of children’s formation programs. The church will provide pizza and children’s beverages. Feel free to bring any additional beverages or snacks you’d like to add. Contact Cheryl for location!

Fall Foyer Groups Now Forming

Twice a year, all Grace Church members are invited to participate in a Foyer Group. Foyer Groups consist of small groups of adults who meet in one another’s homes for a meal and fellowship over the course of approximately six months. Not only is participation in Foyers fun, but it also facilitates deeper relationships among Grace Church members. Newcomers are especially encouraged to sign up. Foyers groups are forming now! Sign up online or at the information station no later than Sunday, August 26.
