Laura Masterson to Preach on June 3
Be sure to come this Sunday, June 3 to hear Laura Masterson give her first sermon at Grace! She will preach at both the 8:15 AM and 10:45 AM services.
As you may know, Laura is our seminarian, and she will begin her Middler year at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas, this fall. She and her family are doing extraordinarily well in Austin, and it will be a joy to have her here with us! Make it a point to ask her about her studies and her family’s life as we continue our deep support for Laura as she studies for Holy Orders in The Episcopal Church.
Safeguarding God’s Children
All interested parishioners are welcome to attend the next Safeguarding God’s Children training on Sunday, June 10 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. This training is required for vestry members and all persons who teach, supervise or assist with supervising children or youth ministries, programs or activities more often than occasionally. Please contact Liz Howington (770-536-0126 or firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than Tuesday, June 5 to register.
Grace adults gather each month in the Youth Room to watch and discuss movies old and new addressing a wide variety of subjects. A very casual occasion, participants often bring a little food and drink to share. We always have a good time and lively discussion-join us at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 8.
Youth Lake Day
Rising 6th – 12th graders will meet in the Grace Church parking lot at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 9 and go by van to Lake Burton to spend the day doing stuff and boating and cooking and playing games. We’ll be back to the Grace Church parking lot by 9:00 PM! Please call or email Ema Cynthia (770-536-0126 or email@example.com) if you have any questions!!
Godly Play Core Training
