Annual Parish Picnic
It’s that time of year again – our Parish Picnic is this Sunday, May 20 (rain or shine) following a 10:00 AM combined worship service to observe the Feast of Pentecost. (So wear red if you’d like!) This is a wonderful opportunity to gather for fellowship, fun activities, and good food.
Delicious chicken and beverages will be provided. Please bring a dish to share according to the following assignment based on the first letter of your last name.
Photos are for illustrative purposes only, please bring whatever dish you’d like in the assigned category. We do rotate the categories every year and would greatly appreciate you bringing a dish for the category that applies to you so that we end up with a tasty variety of food with plenty for everyone. We have plenty of serving utensils, so there is no need to bring your own.
Bring your appetite and come for good food and fellowship!
Grace Family Photo
Our last Grace Family Photo was taken in 2015 so it is time for an update! A new photo will be taken in the nave at the end of the 10:00 AM combined service this Sunday, May 20. Please plan to attend so you can be included.
Be Still and Know…
With the constant babble in the world, how do you hear God? How do you move from a space of perpetual busyness to a place where you sit in the presence of God? How do you say “No” to external voices threatening to tear community apart?
When we sit in silence and listen, we open our hearts to the wonder of God’s love for us, and in that silence, we are called to open our hearts to others. We hear God the encourager, God the lover, in the silence. When we sit in silence, we can let go of those things that keep us separate from others. It is then that we can lean in to a space where we share our journeys, be the beloved, be ourselves, and it is there that we build community.
Join us in the parish hall on Sunday, May 20 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM as we
- SIT in silence.
- LISTEN with your heart.
- SHARE with compassion.
As we build community, one heart at a time.
Reminder to our yoga class participants that our last class of this season will be Monday, May 21. We will start back in August. Have a wonderful fun-filled summer! Namaste!
The parish office will be closed on Tuesday, May 22. The clergy and staff will be meeting to make initial plans for activities and events during the next academic year.
Wednesday Nights at Grace
Our regular Wednesday evenings together have ended for this academic year. Watch for the return of dinners and programs this fall!
