All Saints’ Sunday

As part of the services on All Saints’ Sunday, November 5, we will offer prayers for all those in our lives who have died. If you wish to remember loved ones, email Brenda Morgan and share those names no later than Monday, October 30. The names will be printed in our service bulletin.

Wednesday Dinner: November 1

Most Wednesdays during the church school year our Grace Church family gathers for food and fellowship. Opportunities for fun and learning occasionally follow the meal. The women’s study and the men’s group will meet on November 1.

  • Menu BBQ Pulled Pork, Baked Beans, Corn on the Cobb, Potato Salad, Tossed Salad, Rolls, Chocolate Cake
  • Vegetarian Black Bean Burger
  • Child 1/2 portion regular or PB&J sandwich, cookies

Sign up online, at the information station, or call the church office by 12:00 PM each Monday. If you make a reservation and do not attend, you will still be asked to pay for your meal. Thank you for understanding. Cost is free for kids up to 5th grade, $5 youth (6th-12th grade), and $10 adults.

Nursery/childcare (children up 5th grade) is offered from 5:00-9:00 PM on Wednesdays. Reservations are necessary and can be made on the same form as meal reservations.

Men’s Group Update

The Men’s Group at Grace will meet on Wednesday, November 1. Join us in the parlor at 6:30 PM for conversation exploring Richard Rohr’s reflections on men’s spirituality. Please make a reservation if you’d like to eat dinner at 5:30 PM.

Movie Night

Grace adults gather each month in the Youth Room to watch and discuss movies old and new addressing a wide variety of subjects. A very casual occasion, participants often bring a little food and drink to share. We always have a good time and lively discussion. Although movie night is typically on the second Friday, we will gather at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 3.

Women’s Retreat Registration Now Open

All women of Grace are invited to a weekend retreat at Montreat Retreat and Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC (just outside of Asheville) January 12-14, 2018. We will gather for fellowship, renewal and inspiration as we explore the courage and joy we share as women of faith. We will be led by psychotherapist, spiritual director, and retreat leader CeCe Balboni. Registration is now open! Room requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis so don’t wait to register.
