On Sunday, May 14 we will gather together in the parish hall to enjoy a continental breakfast and to thank all of our leaders for children, youth, and adult formation. Come help celebrate their ministry to the church over the last academic year.
We will next host Family Promise guests from May 14-21. Please visit our online spreadsheet or the volunteer board at the information station in the connector corridor to see ways you can help with this important outreach effort. Contact Tricia McDuff if you have any questions.
Grace will once again participate in the annual Gainesville/Hall County Alliance for Literacy Spelling Bee. This year’s team, the Godspellers, consists of Amy Bussler, Rob Harris, Jack Park, and Nancy Richardson (alternate).
The “bee” is like no other, billing itself as a “Great Grown-Up, Good Time, Romp of a Spelling Bee!” It is a fast-paced event, with local teams, exciting skits and jokes, door prizes, as well as some serious competition among teams. Come on out to Brenau University’s Hosch Theatre to have a good time and help support a good cause on Tuesday, May 16, at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Sunday, May 14 is the deadline to submit information for our annual bulletin honoring all graduates from high school, college, and graduate school. High school graduates will also be recognized at church on Sunday, May 21. Please note there is one combined service at 10:00 AM on May 21, followed by our annual parish picnic.
If you (or your child) will graduate this spring, fill out the online recognition form and send a photo to Jennifer at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to submit information for the bulletin is Sunday, May 14. Information submitted after the deadline will not appear in the published bulletin but high school graduates will still be recognized at church.
Our Wednesday morning prayer class, Resting In God, continues on May 17 at 11:00 AM. Come experience a time of restoration and renewal as we explore a variety of contemplative practices that can enrich our personal prayer lives.
Nursery & Children’s Chapel Relocation
Our project to repaint and recarpet the children’s wing has begun. The nursery has been temporarily relocated to the conference room/library of The Grace Center. Children’s Chapel will meet in the chapel. Thanks for your understanding!
