A Celebration for Fr. Alan
We will honor Fr. Alan’s time with us and wish he and Kelly a fond farewell on Sunday, February 5 from 9:00-9:45 AM. Please join us.
Compline for Candlemas
The Grace Church Compline Choir will offer a service of sung compline in the nave on Sunday, February 5 at 6:15 PM. Please come and join us for a time of prayer and contemplation. All are welcome. Note: there will be no childcare available.
Sunday Forum
Come and learn about C.S. Lewis, the man, and begin exploring his work. On Sundays in February, Dave Westfall will lead us in exploring who Lewis was, and the legacy he left in his work. We’ll also take a look at the symbolism contained in the Narnia books.
This study will help prepare us for the upcoming joint effort between Grace and Brenau, a series of lectures entitled, “Love letters to Jack; Love Letters to God: an exploration of the works of Joy Davidman and CS Lewis” on March 23 and 24. (watch for more information) Join us for the Sunday Forum at 9:30 AM in the parish hall.
Foyer Sign Up Deadline
Spring Foyer groups are now forming. If you are interested in joining, please sign up online or at the information station by Sunday, February 5.
Wednesday Night at Grace
Dinner Come eat dinner together on Wednesday, February 8 at 5:30 PM! Meal and nursery/childcare reservations are due by noon on Monday, February 6. Sign up online, at the information station, or call the church office. Full details and policies on our website.
- Menu: Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Southern Style Green Beans, Salad, Pound Cake w/assorted toppings
- Vegetarian Entree: Spaghetti with marinara
- Children: 1/2 portion regular menu or PBJ, Cookies
Meetings/Conversations If your committee/ministry group would like to schedule a meeting at 6:30 PM following the meal, contact Jennifer or fill out the online facility use request form to reserve a room.
Children A nursery (age 4 and under) and childcare (PreK-5th grade) will be offered from 5:00-9:00 PM. Reservations are necessary and should be made on the same form as meal reservations.
Strum with a Chum
The guitar club is meeting after dinner on Wednesday nights until February 22! Whether you have played for years, or never before picked up a guitar, you are welcome to come “Strum with a Chum.” Dinner is at 5:30 PM (make a reservation) and guitar club at 6:15 PM.
Join the Handbell Choir
Grace Church is looking to start a small handbell choir! If you are interested in joining, please email Will Gotmer. No experience is necessary! Seniors, adults, and youth (8th grade and up) are welcome to join. A rehearsal time has not yet been set, but weekly 90-minute rehearsals would begin in March.
