This blog post highlights some events and news just for the upcoming week. The primary source of information about what’s happening at Grace Church is our weekly newsletter – for full news and events please subscribe to the e-vangelist!
We will host Family Promise guests for TWO weeks this month, from January 15-29. That means double the amount of volunteer effort will be needed, There are MANY ways to help, from donating food, serving meals, setting up bedrooms, doing laundry, and spending the night at church. Please prayerfully consider how you might be able to contribute and sign up online.
Sunday Forum: Rule of Life
Dear Church Family,
All adults are invited to participate in a program called “Growing a Rule of Life” starting this Sunday, January 8 at 9:30 AM. Below is a video that will provide you more information about the program.
Why is “Growing a Rule of Life” important? We can all experience being out of alignment with our inner selves and with nature. In our current world it is almost too simple to be ‘plugged in’ and working around the clock. The Sabbath is no longer officially kept, as families find themselves inundated with social obligations. Living a balanced life requires growing and internalizing a whole set of new boundaries and rules, which may seem impossible in the face of your already overcrowded schedule. But just as stakes and lattices nurture the growth of young plants, so too can spiritual disciplines support the flourishing of our whole being.
I look forward to seeing you here in the parish hall at 9:30 AM this Sunday, January 8.
Grace Member Art Show
The deadline for artists to apply to participate in our 2017 Grace Member Art Show is Monday, January 9. Visit our website for details and the application. The show will open March 15 and run through April 23. We look forward to showcasing the artistic talents we have here at Grace. Email email@example.com with questions.

Altar flowers enhance the beauty of our Sunday services. They can be given in memory of or thanksgiving for family members, friends and loved ones. Donation notices are printed in the newsletter and in the Sunday worship bulletin.
The altar flower calendar and donation forms for 2017 are located at the information station in the connector corridor. To reserve a date, write your name on the calendar, fill out the form and send it, along with your check ($50 suggested donation) to the church office prior to your reserved date. Checks should be made payable to Grace Church with ‘Flower Fund’ noted on the memo line. You may also place the form and your check in the offertory plate.
