Advent Lessons & Carols
On Sunday, December 18, the Grace Church Parish Choir will offer a service of Advent Lessons and Carols at 6:00 PM.
This beautiful service, an Anglican tradition, is meant to help us prepare for Christmas. Scripture lessons will be read and Advent carols sung by the choir and the congregation. Please make note that the service will include the use of incense.
All are welcome.
December 18: A Year with Mary
Father Stuart will share reflections of his year with Blessed Mary during the forum on Sunday, December 18 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM.
Christmas Party Wear your favorite Christmas clothes (ugly sweaters/PJs/antlers) and share some cheer in Sunday School (9:30-10:30 AM) on December 18. We’ll be singing along to carols, playing a few holiday games, and just having fun! Eggnog, cookies, breakfast treats will be around, too.
Youth Retreat @ Camp Mikell DYC youth retreat is back! 6th-12th grades. Deadline to register is January 1. Cost is $100. Register at https://goo.gl/vn9e6y DYC is an annual retreat, led by youth and adults of the diocese. It begins on Friday, January 6 with dinner at 5pm at Camp Mikell and ends with lunch, Sunday, January 8. Let us know if you have questions. Wednesday Evenings at Grace
There will be no meal or program offered at Grace on December 21 or 28. Our Wednesday evenings together will resume on January 4. Watch for information.
We will host Family Promise guests for TWO weeks next month, from January 15-29. That means double the amount of volunteer effort will be needed, There are MANY ways to help, from donating food, serving meals, setting up bedrooms, doing laundry, and spending the night at church. Please be considering how you might be able to contribute and watch for the sign up link. Please contact Tricia McDuff if you have any questions.
