Rehearsals are scheduled after the 10:45 AM service on December 4, 11 & 18. All musicians are also invited to participate by playing their instrument during the prelude to the service. Christmas is always an enchanting time of joy and eager anticipation for children. Sadly, circumstances may prevent some children from realizing the happiness that accompanies the season. We have a wonderful opportunity to fulfill the dreams of these children. Through our annual Christmas Angel Tree program, Grace Church, in partnership again this year with the Salvation Army, helps to fulfill the holiday hopes and dreams of some of these children. The Christmas Angels will be available at the Christmas tree located in the greeting area, beginning Sunday, November 6.
Each Angel will include a child’s name and the desired gift, either a toy or clothing. Please return the Angel with the gift by Wednesday, November 30. The gifts can be left in the Church office during the week, or under the Christmas tree in the greeting area. All gifts should be returned unwrapped with the angel tag firmly attached.
The generous Angel Tree participation by the congregation in past years has made Christmas wishes come true for so many children. We thank you for your 2016 participation as we welcome the holiday season spirit of giving.
The Diocese of Atlanta’s free Pathways magazine shares inspiring stories from middle and north Georgia of Episcopalians and non-Episcopalians who are taking their love and faith beyond the walls of the church. A new issue will be mailed soon, however the Diocese is no longer using the previous mailing list. If you would like to receive Pathways, please add your address to the mailing list. One copy per household please.
Be in a Parade!
Grace Church and COG Preschool are joining together to participate in the Christmas on Green Street parade on Sunday, December 4. If you are interested in walking in the parade and passing out candy, please contact Jane Bradley or Fr. Stuart.
