An Evening of Interfaith Dialogue
Don’t miss the opportunity to share in a vital conversation with Imam Arshad and Fr. Brian Sullivan on Sunday evening, October 30 in the parish hall. The deadline to sign up for dinner and childcare has already passed, but reservations are not necessary for those who just wish to come for conversation at 6:30 PM. This conversation will mark the beginning of a long-term dialogue with other faiths, an exercise that is so important for our world today. Imam Arshad and Fr. Brian are both exceptional people whose hearts are deeply attuned to the building of relationships.
Forum: Bicentennial Vision Update
Join Fr. Stuart on Sunday, October 30, at 9:30 AM for the continuation of a forum discussing the ongoing work of the Bicentennial Vision Committee. The committee has been hard at work meeting with ministry groups throughout the parish, gathering hopes, dreams, and ideas as we listen to how the Spirit of Christ is leading us into our third century of shared worship and ministry.

Pledge Party on November 2
In the coming week, we will begin the follow-up stewardship calls for those who have not had a chance to send in their pledge cards. And, this year, we want to do something a bit different: we’re going to have a Pledge Party! That’s right. You can have fun with Stewardship (we really should, after all). On Wednesday, November 2, at the Wednesday dinner, all are invited to a combination of dance party/talent show/hokey 1990s tele-a-thon. The Stewardship Committee will be on hand to make follow up calls as we open the floor to anyone who wants to sing, dance, tell a joke, or share other talents. Above all, we will celebrate our blessings as a parish community (while also making sure to encourage everyone to pledge to the 2017 budget). Make a reservation if you’d like to eat dinner. If you can’t be at the party in person, we’ll be posting live updates on our Facebook page that Wednesday evening!

Your Time / God’s Talent This is stewardship season, a time when we think about how we take care of ourselves and the gifts God has given us. We also think about how we use our gifts for the life of the world. The Youth of Grace have been filling out our own “pledge cards” of time & talent. These cards are now in an online form so you can fill it out any time. Check it out (and fill it out!) at https://goo.gl/forms/Nn4kwTWUrUEfSJ163.
Advent Reflections Sign up to write an advent reflection for the rest of the parish. It’s super easy: read the readings. Think about what God is doing in that story. Think about what in your life (or someone else’s) this reminds you of. Write a short paragraph about it… what these readings make you think of… what they make you grateful for… Sign up at https://goo.gl/Q10SBk
