ONE SERVICE & Parish Picnic

2015picnic01It’s that time of year again! Our Parish Picnic is scheduled for THIS Sunday, May 15 and we want you there! This is a wonderful opportunity to gather for fellowship, fun activities, and a delightful picnic on the Brenau lawn following our 10:00 AM combined worship service. (Also, this Sunday is Pentecost so wear red if you wish!)

Delicious chicken and beverages will be provided. Please bring a dish to share with ten people according to the following assignment based on the first letter of your last name.

  • A-H: hot side (ex. mac and cheese, baked beans, scalloped potatoes, green beans)
  • I-N: cold side (ex. salads, fresh fruit, veggie tray)
  • O-Z: dessert

All are welcome, hope to see you there!

Kids in PreK – 5th grade are invited to join us for our Festival of Faith Vacation Bible School, June 20-24 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. VBS 2016 is already over halfway full so don’t wait to register!

Stay Connected!

High School Seniors and those who love them can fill out this brief form online that will help connect them to churches and campus ministries wherever they are. Whether they are attending college or not, or traveling near or far, the information will be sent directly to Campus and Young Adult Ministers where they are.

A Call to Travelers

Our Children’s Formation Committee is looking for folks who have traveled to France, Australia, Germany, Brazil, England, Poland, Mexico, Japan, Russia, or Greece who would be willing to share some souvenirs or memories/stories of their travel with our children during Vacation Bible School. If interested, please email vbs@gracechurchgainesville.org.

For Young Adults

Meetup at the Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival Are you heading to the festival formerly known as Mountain Flower Art Festival on May 21? If you plan on being in Dahlonega to stroll the art and sample the wine, you’ll find us shortly after lunchtime somewhere on the square. (Ask Alan how to sign up for the YA GroupMe to find out where!) Drop in and say Hi or stick with us as we walk around the festival.

Team Trivia For pop-culture knowledge alone, 20’s & 30’s should be ruling the team trivia world. Come show everyone how it’s done at 6:30 PM on May 19 at Wild Wing Café in Gainesville! Prizes for the team name of the week.

Parking Lot News

Some work is planned for both Grace Church parking lots May 19-21. Please be advised that there may be times that neither lot is accessible, making it necessary to park on the street if you need to visit the parish on those days.
