On the First Sunday after Christmas, December 27, there will be ONE combined service of worship at 10:00 AM. There will be no Christian Education classes and no Children’s Chapel offered that day.
The parish office will be closed on Monday, December 28 and will reopen at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29.
Offering envelopes will be available on a table in the lower foyer beginning Sunday, December 27 for parishioners who requested them.
Tax Contribution Deadline
The IRS established deadline for tax-deductible contributions for 2015 is Thursday, December 31. You may mail your contributions to the parish office (postmarked by 12/31) or hand deliver it to the office by Thursday, December 31 at 5:00 PM. You may also drop your contribution in the offering plate during worship on Sunday, December 27. Thank you for your continued generosity.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: To ensure the deductibility of your church contributions, please do not file your 2015 income tax return until you have received written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church. You may lose a deduction for some contributions if you file your tax return before receiving a written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church.
Eight spots are still available in the acting workshop that begins January 9. We need to fill at least 4 of them to reach the minimum number required for this class. Sign up and get more information.
Youth: Register Now for DYC 2015, January 8-10
Planned by youth. Led by youth. DYC is an annual retreat for grades 6-12 at Camp Mikell. It is a great weekend of music and fun with students from all over the Diocese. Our own Louisa Gille is on staff this year so we know it will be awesome! The dates this year are January 8-10. Cost is $100 for the weekend. Depending on numbers, we will help coordinate travel. We also would love an adult trained in Safeguarding to act as a chaperone for the weekend. The church will pay for your registration, please contact Father Alan if you are interested. Registration and payment are now handled through the diocese. You can follow this link to register your youth.
Facility Use Reminder
Grace Church is an increasingly busy place. It has become necessary to manage the use of our facility with clear and consistent requirements so that we may use our resources in the most efficient way possible to better support our own expanding ministries and the needs of our wider community. To that end, our Facility Use Policies and Procedures were updated this past October. Please visit the Facility Use page of our website to learn more.
