Thanks to all who have offered suggestions for our use of name tags at Grace. As we all know, name tags are a key component in fostering fellowship. How many times have you left a gathering only to wish you could remember someone’s name? For newcomers or visitors to Grace, name tags are essential in creating an inviting community of faith.
With our growing parish, the use of space has become critical. At the same time, Grace is moving ahead with much needed building improvements which in the near future will include interior painting. A temporary solution for name tags is needed until such improvements are complete. The following is in place:
- We are encouraging parishioners, if possible, to keep their name tags; many have said they keep them in their cars, prayer books or purses.
- We have a temporary solution for housing name tags. A buffet with name tags in drawers in ABC order has been located by the columbarium door (These are the name tags that were left in baskets).
- Adhesive name tags & pens have been placed in the Narthex, Greeting Area & by the columbarium door. Forgot your name tag…just make one!
- Anyone needing a name tag please send requests to Brenda Morgan. Requested name tags will be placed on the buffet near the columbarium.
If we have not addressed a concern, please let us know… You are important to us!
Our next Family Promise rotation is August 23-30. Please visit the volunteer board in the Greeting Area to see ways you can help with this outreach effort, including laundry, volunteering at the Day Center, preparing or serving food, helping with the kids, etc.
Our parish newsletter has returned to it’s regular publication schedule. The deadline to submit information to Jennifer Williams is every Monday at 9:00 AM.
