Journey to Joy
Our Epiphany Pageant will be presented on Sunday, January 4 during the 10:45 AM service. Christmas Day has come and gone but the story is not over! Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthasar are following the star… Come join their journey to joy!
Please note that there is no Children’s Chapel this Sunday, January 4.
Stuart, Cynthia, and Michael invite you to a special Sunday forum beginning January 4 at 9:30 AM in the Parish Hall. Our clergy will guide an exploration of Dr. Amy-Jill Levine’s book Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi. Canon Bolton, canon chaplain on the staff of Bishop Wright, will also be back for a visit and facilitate the class on January 18! Dr. Levine, herself a Jew, is professor of New Testament Studies at Vanderbilt, and she offers a very interesting reflection on the richness of the parables. It promises to be a very, very good conversation! This class will also be offered on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM beginning January 14.
At GWAG on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month we gather to enjoy a meal, Evening Prayer, and the opportunity to socialize with friends. Join us for our next #eatpraytalk on January 7. Make a meal reservation no later than 12:00 PM on Monday, January 5. New for 2015: you can now sign up for GWAG online! details
Grace adults gather each month in the Youth Room to watch and discuss movies old and new addressing a wide variety of subjects. A very casual occasion, participants often bring a little food and drink to share. We always have a good time and lively discussion—join us at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 9.
