This Sunday at Grace
Come join the conversation this Sunday morning, July 27, as we welcome the Rev. Canon Rick Callaway to Grace Church. Canon Callaway is the Canon to the Ordinary in our Diocese, and many of you know him from his support and guidance during the search process. He is retiring at the end of September, so we are grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate with him on July 27! He will lead a special Sunday Forum at 9:30 AM in the Parish Hall, and will discuss his perspectives on life and worship within The Episcopal Church. Canon Callaway will also preach at the 10:45 AM service. So, come with your questions and thoughts as we continue our focus to learn more about the faith we practice at Grace, in the Diocese of Atlanta, in The Episcopal Church, and in the global Anglican Communion.
Hike Group Vogel Picnic
Sunday, July 27 is the deadline to RSVP to the Hike Group’s annual picnic at Vogel State Park on Saturday, August 2. Our family friendly (wheel-chair accessible) picnic is the most popular event hosted by the Hike Group each year and we hope to see you there.
Foyers Groups Now Forming
Twice a year, all Grace Church members are invited to participate in a Foyer Group. Foyer Groups consist of six to eight adults who meet in one another’s homes for a meal and fellowship. A sign-up period is held after which the names of those interested are assigned to groups. The groups then gather at the convenience of the members over the course of approximately six months, with the first meeting being held at the home of the group’s captain. Not only is participation in Foyers fun, but it also facilitates deeper relationships among Grace Church members. Sign up now for the next round of Foyers at the information table or by calling the parish office at 770-536-0126. Sign-up will continue through the month of August.
Women’s Bible Study
The current Women’s Bible Study will wrap up at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 30 in the youth room of The Grace Center. All women (age 21 and up) are invited to participate.
