12 Days Of Easter

12 Days Of Easter

Start a new Easter tradition with your children! The 12 Days of Easter is an idea I found online that tells a different part of the Easter story scripture in each egg along with a “hint” or “clue”…for example, soap shavings may be in the egg that tells of Jesus washing the disciples feet, a strip of red fabric to represent the scarlet robe that Jesus was clothed in at his arrest…

Take one egg out each night in succession, look up the scripture in your Bible, and let your children hold the trinket and learn hands-on more about the Savior. My children also love guessing what part of the story the clue represents, before we open the scripture that is included. This is such a great way to help children learn the true meaning of why we celebrate Easter, and a really good reminder for us adults too. 🙂
