It’s going to be a full, busy, and wonderful day at Grace Church this Sunday. We hope you are planning to be a part of it – your prayers and your presence are requested! Here are some things you should know.
Both services at 8:15 AM and 10:45 AM will be Morning Prayer, there will be no Eucharist. Sunday school classes will be held as usual at 9:30 AM.
A Celebration of New Ministry
All are invited to attend our Celebration of New Ministry service at 4:00 PM, and we are anticipating a full house! Bishop Robert Wright of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, Assistant Bishop Keith Whitmore, clergy from all around the diocese, and some of Fr. Stuart’s friends and family, will join the people of Grace Church for the service. Bishop Wright will be the celebrant and preacher. Representatives from our search committee, vestry, program ministries, staff, preschool, and more will present gifts of welcome as Fr. Stuart is officially installed as our 8th rector. Additional highlights will include guest readers and a very special reader from Grace, beautiful music by our Parish Choir and Choristers, as well as Holy Communion. A reception will follow the service.
Parishioners are asked to please wear your nametags during this service, and to help warmly welcome all of our guests and visitors to Grace Church on this very special occasion.
